It is important to know how different cultures have contributed to Flint. Studying African American history in Flint will show how numerous African-Americans have contributed over the years in various ways, including the contributions that may go unnoticed or are unheard of. Learning about African American history in Flint will not only educate us, but will also broaden our perspective on the lives of others. We can become knowledgeable and enlightened on vital issues and prominent people who have made history for African American culture and shaped the lives of many people in Flint, nationally, and even globally.
